The SRMS offers a combination of family mediation, family therapy, and individual support which places the interests, rights, and personal safety of older persons at its heart. It also seeks to raise community awareness of elder abuse and build relationships with the community to improve older persons’ access to services.
The SRMS works with people over 65 years (or 50 years for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons) who are experiencing, or are at risk of experiencing, elder abuse. It can also work with family members and others who are concerned about an older person.
The SRMS is based at RAQ’s office in the Morayfield Integrated Health Hub. They can also meet elsewhere if Morayfield is not accessible for you.
