Free multicultural training at Digital Piazza

Take part in free training for volunteers to mentor multicultural seniors to learn new digital skills, and for seniors learning the ropes, and staying safe, online.

Australian Multicultural Community Services (AMCS) has 40 years of experience in supporting older Victorians to live safely at home for as long as possible.

Through our staff and volunteers we cover 58 community languages!

We offer free digital training for mentors and seniors.

As a mentor you will receive:

  • learning resources and guides

  • Coles voucher

  • training completion certificate

  • police check (mandatory)

  • follow up and ongoing support

For seniors, you’ll learn how to:

  • use your technology devices (mobile phones, tablets, laptop computers)

  • watch news and videos

  • make video calls

  • Access online banking and grocery shopping

  • access My Aged Care and Centrelink Online

  • use online meeting platforms like Zoom to join online activities

  • engage with your hobbies & games

  • connect with your family and friends on social media

AMCS welcomes seniors to join the Digital Mentoring Program and encourage volunteers to be a digital mentor.
