Did you know Aged Rights Advocacy Service (ARAS) is available to present free information sessions on a variety of topics to your organisation or community group?

ARAS Advocates can deliver information sessions in person or online via Zoom and Microsoft Teams.



Topics include:

  • The Charter of Aged Care Rights for older people receiving aged care services.

  • 
Elder abuse prevention for older people living in the community or residential aged care, staff working in residential aged care or home care and health professionals

.

  • Safeguards for Ageing Well, including strategies for living a positive life and ageing well for community members.


  • Home Care Check-in Service, to support older people living in the community (within the Adelaide Metropolitan Area), who are eligible for or receiving aged care services, and who may be at greater risk of harm due to social isolation and other factors.

  • Financial advocacy, a free and confidential service to help clients make informed decisions about their aged care services by understanding fees and charges.

ARAS provides advocacy assistance to support older people to uphold their rights and their responsibilities.



ARAS also has specialist Aboriginal Advocates who provide culturally safe support.
