Rehab, Aged, and Community Care (RAC)

Rehabilitation, Aged and Community (RAC) services at the Canberra Hospital provides healthcare and support for people with acute, post-acute, and long-term illnesses in the ACT.

RAC aims to improve the quality and accessibility of services. We promote care that covers the prevention, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, support, rehabilitation, and maintenance of conditions. We work closely with other healthcare providers to improve communication between primary, acute, subacute, and community healthcare services.

RAC provides a range of rehabilitation services, including:

  • Occupational Therapy

  • Speech Pathology

  • Specialised Wheelchair and Posture Seating

  • Clinical Technology Workshop – Equipment repairs and modification

  • Vocational Assessment and Rehabilitation Service

Access to these services will now be the same as for other NDIS service providers in the community - so ensure the supports you need from Rehabilitation, Aged and Community Care Services are listed and covered through your NDIS plan.
